A family story, five decades in.

It started in 1971 with a single store on Grand Avenue in Escondido. By 1978 it had moved a short distance to Center City Parkway, and the little natural grocer kept growing, eventually to four locations across the county.

In 1983, founder Bill Frazier sold the business to Norman Frazier, who carried the same standards forward: a passion for food, a regard for good health, and a commitment to bringing value to the community.

In 2006, the Frazier family proudly returned the name to Frazier Farms and continued the family legacy. Today we’re proud to serve San Diego County from three neighborhood stores, in Vista, Oceanside, and La Mesa, each with fully staffed, chef-run kitchens, an old-fashioned butcher shop, a seafood case with fresh fish delivered daily, an in-house bakery, an organic juice bar, and the famous deli with the best sandwiches in town.

Frazier Farms has been running specials in the Sunday paper since the seventies. Pineapples at 19 cents a pound, a champagne brunch for $5.95, and the same promise we make today: natural, honest, and a fair price.
